Serene Med Spa offers PDO thread lifts, by Medical Director, Kristopher Brown.
In a thread lift, absorbable sutures are inserted underneath the skin to instantly and effectively lift sagging skin. The threads are mainly used on the face and the neck, but can also be used to lift skin on the body. The sutures can be used for collagen stimulation, suspension of loose skin, or both.
The thread lifting procedure does not involve surgery. It is a minimally invasive and very safe and effective in-office procedure with little downtime.
This procedure takes a short period to perform.PDO Thread lift is done under local anesthesia. The results usually last for about a year, and stimulates your body to make new collagen which lasts long after the threads are metabolized by your body.
MINT PDO threads are FDA cleared.

WHAT IS SECRET?
Secret RF is a novel approach to deliver fractional radio frequency (RF) energy to all layers of the skin with minimal damage to the skin’s surface. The multi-layered treatment is tailored to each individual and addresses their unique skin concern during each customized treatment.
The Secret Radio Frequency Mirconeedling treatment is ideal for improving aging skin, photodamage, fine lines and wrinkles on the face and neck, scars, acne scars, skin quality and striae. The treatment is safe and effective, and suitable for all skin types and patients seeking skin revitalization.
Secret RF uses microneedles to deliver radio frequency energy into varying levels of the skin including the deeper layerswhere treatment is most beneficial. Unlike other devices which only deposit energy in upper layer of the skin, Secret RF de- livers RF energy below the surface where it’s needed most to help revitalize and regenerate the tissue. This unique delivery of energy allows us to achieve optimal results with little to no downtime on all skin types.
Secret RF is a easy, safe and effective procedure that can be performed in a quick, 15-minute treatment session. During the treatment, you will feel a slight heating and some pressure on the treatment area. For most patients, the treatment is tolerable but your physician will work with you to maximize your comfort level. Prior to the procedure, your provider will apply a numb- ing cream to the treatment area to increase comfort during the treatment.
Results vary based on the individual. To maintain results, maintenance treatments are recommended every 12-18 months.
PRP Microneedling at Serene Medical Spa.
Minimally invasive procedure aimed to maintain the overlying epidermis while creating dermal injury; therefore, stimulating wound repair and neocollagenesis.
Microneedling, or collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a device that contains fine needles. These needles are used to puncture the skin at various depths to create a controlled skin injury.
Each puncture creates a channel that stimulates neovascularization and neocollagenesis to fill these microscopic wounds.
A variety of microneedling devices exist with needle sizes ranging from 0.1 to 2.5 mm. Outcomes of microneedling vary based on the device, the depth of needle penetration, frequency of needle penetration, and the number of passes. The needles traumatically create pores in the dermis, which stimulates the release of growth factors and cytokines.
The growth factors and cytokines in turn stimulate collagen, elastin, and neovascularization. Needling sessions are typically spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Suggested 3 treatments depending on desired result.
Microneedling has minimal side effects and can be used safely in patients of all skin types. You may experience redness for a few days after treatment.
Microneedling should be avoided in patients with a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring, inflammatory dermatoses, history of herpes simplex virus in perioral area, or any type of growth in the target area. Absolute contraindications for microneedling include scleroderma, collagen vascular disease, clotting disorders, active infection, and immunosuppression.
A topical numbing agent is applied to the patient. Blood is obtained from the patient using a 10-mL syringe containing acid citrate dextrose. The blood is centrifuged, while patient numbs, separating the PRP from the platelet poor plasma.
The PRP is applied to the face immediately prior to and after treatment with the microneedling pen.
A Collagen Pen is used at different settings based on anatomic location with an endpoint of eliciting pinpoint bleeding.

Despite the measures we take to prevent sun damage, our skin is easily hyperpigmented by sun damage. (freckles, brown spots). Months or years of long summer days, tanning beds can reveal discolorations, age spots, freckles, and dark scars (also called post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation). Once you see the signs of sun damage, schedule a session with one of our highly trained laser tech experts. Until then, we’ll brief you on what you can expect from a IPL.
How does it work?
IPL or Intense Pulsed Light uses high-powered technology to deliver an intense burst of broad-spectrum light. With the advanced technology used, your technician can customize the range of light to target your skin’s specific need—age spots, freckles, capillaries, or redness. Targeted pigments in the skin are heated with the light and darken in color before they are removed from the skin surface. Depending on the depth of discoloration (i.e. deep-pigmented freckles or age spots), it could take up to four sessions to achieve your optimal results.
What does it treat?
There's multiple benefits to receiving a photofacial. The technology heats the deeper layers of skin to help activate the skin's natural collagen synthesis and regeneration. Ideally, this treatment is used to treat pigment concerns: age spots, freckles, sun damage, facial redness, capillary damage, and telangiectasia, but it can be used for overall rejuvenation.
Who is a candidate?
Get an honest evaluation of your skin in a complimentary consultation with a Master Esthetician. We will examine your skin, primary concerns, and disposition to scarring or inflammation. Individuals who are prone to red, raised keloid scars, sensitive to burns, or have a condition that impairs the body’s healing and recovery process are generally not candidates for IPL.If you are approved for the procedure, your Master Esthetician will devise a unique treatment plan that will help you achieve your best results. Treatment plans include pre-treatment preparation, what to expect during the procedure, and what you’ll need after the procedure to recover from downtime.
What does it feel like?
During the procedure, your Licensed Master Esthetician will apply a cool gel to your skin, followed by placement of the IPL prism. A series of pulses will be flashed through the prism over the treatment area. Depending on your pain threshold, each person can have a different experience with the treatment. Some patients experience minimal to some discomfort, others report some sensitivity around the eyes and lips. Sensations can also vary with the type and depth of pigment being treated. Immediately after the treatment, you may experience mild redness or swelling.
A consultation with a Licensed Master Esthetician at Serene Medical Spa will help determine the best treatment plan for your concern and if you are a candidate for IPL. On average, three to four treatments, every four weeks, may be necessary to achieve optimal results. Our unique technology allows us to address multiple concerns in one session, schedule a consultation to learn about the best options for your skin.
